Let's start with some good news: Last year Science magazine named lenacapavir the "breakthrough of the year". Phase One trials show that one dose of this drug offers a remarkable 100% protection from HIV infection for a full year. This drug is being made available in 120 low-income countries, and The Global Fund says it will fund the rollout of the drug with or without the assistance of the US government. In other good news, Boston is declaring itself a refuge city for Trans folks.

There is, of course, much to be concerned about as well. Pride season is just around the corner - there has never been a time when your presence and participation has mattered more. Our collective rights and identities are being actively assaulted. Please consider making yourself visible by participating in some of the region's pride events. We need volunteers to assist for events in Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint and maybe Libby, Montana. Can you help? Contact us via the website if you can - the dates will be published next month.
Our Friday zoom speakers in March addressed the crisis of assisting trans individuals and families needing to relocate in the US. A heartfelt thank you to Naeda and Heather for their courageous efforts on behalf of the trans community.
Our website, www.lgbtqseniorsoftheinlandnorthwest continues to evolve and emerge as a primary platform for our offerings. Please check it out, Feedback welcome. We have decided not to publish locations of our events on the website, but rather keep it private, sending it only out to our email list.
The Spectrum Center in Spokane now has a regular free legal clinic. Their website contains dates and times.
Finding the assault on our rights and liberties a challenge? Elbows Up as they say in Canada.
