Hey, it's Fall already! How did that happen? Well, here we are in the run up to a critical election, along with all the traditional chores that go along with the season.

Please join us for our third Friday Zoom speaker. A representative of The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) will be speaking to us about election issues critical to our rights and identity. They will also address their strategies at this time.

Our September speaker was Sarah Harmon, law professor at Gonzaga University and expert in LGBTQ+ legal issues. She provided an excellent presentation of our collective queer legal issues, followed by a lively Q&A. Thank you Sarah and law students for joining us.

Several folks in attendance at the September potluck shared about their harrowing experiences during the August fires. Fortunately, no one in attendance was injured, and no one lost their home. It seemed like a close call for many of us. It's great that we have created a space for us to gather and share the ups and downs.

The Steering Committee met for a day long retreat on September 26. We reviewed hosting techniques for the Zoom calls, possibilities for Zoom speakers through December, different ways we might manage our time together, financial status, succession for leadership ideas, and gratitude individually and collectively for the group momentum that has been built. One of the outcomes that readers can look forward to is a survey of people on our mailing list to find out skills and talents that might be utilized in facilitating our continued presence. Hopefully, the survey will be out by late fall.

Hello Everygaybody - Summer is here, we're still queer, and oh my, what a PRIDE month we had. About a dozen of us were at the Coeur d'Alene Pride in the Park on a cold blustery early June Saturday.
