First Tuesday every month (June 4) at 5ish we have Taco Tuesday - this month at the Drinkery on Garland. Old queens, queers and allies welcome.
Lunch OUT on the Town on the 4th Wednesday of each month on June 26th, noon, at Wisconsin burger. It helps to let Hannah know if you are coming at rosebudhmd@hotmail.com so we have enough room.
There will be no potluck in June due to the Pride celebrations. Also, there will be no third Friday zoom speaker. Our next potluck at UU Spokane is Saturday, July 13, noon.
The May speaker, Dr. Traci Gillig, talked about the LGBTQ+ Health survey coming out in June.
Gossip - admit it, you want to know. Jerry has moved to western Washington, and stays in touch via zoom. Jacki has sold her house and moved to the Valley. Christopher may shave his beard.
Not Gossip - breaking news: on Friday, May 24, a jury in Coeur d'Alene awarded a drag performer, falsely accused of exposing themselves at a pride event two years ago, $1,100,000 - the judgement goes against the person who maliciously lied about the non-incident. Let us hope that this gives the haters pause.
Check out our website; LGBTQseniorsoftheinlandnorthwest, the more people who visit, the higher our profile, the more folks who know about us - and know they are not alone. it's a good thing.
Whatever you do, please take a moment and celebrate your Courage, Perseverance, and Beauty in being OUT to yourselves and community.
In Solidarity - your steering committee
